Vinyl is for music lovers. That’s always been true. For me, that’s where this project starts.

I’ve been collecting records for 20 years. My record collection spans over a thousand records, from the mid-1950s to the present. This is my attempt to go through them and understand them. Chronologically. Completely.

For each one, I want to look at everything. The history behind it — who made it, when, and why it mattered. The music itself — not just what it sounds like, but what it’s doing, what it means, where it fits in the larger story of recorded sound. And my own story alongside it — how I found it, what it means to me, what it’s taught me about listening.

I want every record I own to have a reason for being with me, and to not forget why. Part of this project is remembering.
